Charlestown Holiday Ramble 12/6/2025
December 6 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Charlestown Holiday Ramble
Friday, December 5th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 6th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This is a small business 2 day town wide event always held on the first weekend in December (12/5 and 12/6/2025). Tons of people come every year from our community and surrounding towns and have an absolute blast while supporting all the local businesses.
Each participating location offers a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a wonderful raffle prize. A customer and/or rambler gets dozens of chances to win something. The raffle prizes
are always great!
Everyone offers discounts, freebies, beverages, sweet treats and more. Some locations weather depending have fire pits and you can make your own s’mores or sit by the fire enjoying a hot cider or chocolate.
While it is a small business event meant to bring out the community and support our local small businesses it is also considered a customer appreciation event. Everyone has a blast.
Several locations have live music, (this year there will be a cellist playing Friday night and Saturday at the Arnolda Barn, (one of our original participating locations).
The majority of the ramble is held in the Cross Mills Historic section of town where you will see the streets lined with festive holiday flags. There are several businesses on the outskirts of town who also participate by offering a raffle, goodies and specials too.
The ramble and the attendance continues to grow each year. We support local vendors at St. James Church on Saturday and many of the business participants invite vendors to their location to participate on both Friday night and Saturday. The local
craft vendors also offer a free raffle ticket to win one of their awesome crafts.
The Ramble is also a great way to introduce new businesses in town to the community.
We have several stops for children too. The fire house has a show and tell of their trucks on Saturday, the cross mills library always has a craft for kids to do on (and a small
Concert on Friday night). Santa makes an appearance at several locations.
You will see non-profits at the library on Saturday handing out information and some sort of treats (they also
have a raffle). Our Charlestown Historical Museum participates on Friday night too with members of their committee proudly speaking about our town’s history.
The Arnolda Barn (one of the pioneers of the ramble) is back participating after a several year hiatus. The barn really speaks “Charlestown…a community”. The Arnolda barn will be hosting several vendors and they always have awesome goodies. It’s great to have them back.
In addition to all of the above, there are always some awesome surprises. You won’t want to miss this event!
This year as the finale, Santa and Mrs. Clause will be traveling the local ramble route in a fire truck waving to all the children.
We have a Facebook page called “Charlestown RI Holiday Ramble” that we encourage everyone to “like” and “follow” for updates, visual presentations of what you might see and a map of all the locations participating.
