The first annual Atlantis RIsing International Sand Sculpture Competition will take place on October 7-10, 2022 (Columbus Day Weekend) at Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly. For three days the shores of Misquamicut Beach will be transformed into the mythical city of Atlantis. There will be artists from all over the world competing for a cash prize and you can see them at work carving sculptures out of sand and vote for your favorite. Food trucks, live music, special photo opps and activities for the kids will keep the whole family entertained.
